From July 7-11, 2007 the annual event for the farmers in the State of Perak was organized by MARDI to bring up the standards of products produced by the farmers. The event was officiated by the Sultan of Perak, Tuanku Raja Azlan Shah.

The Shanghai Flower Festival saw Garden Asia showing off the Gingers that we featured in our past issues. There was a lot of interest shown by foreign buyers of flowers in our display. Garden Asia Magazine will soon be in China in Mandarin language.

The 9th Hortiflorexpo China will be held on the 11th to the 14th April 2007 in the Shanghai Mart and Intex Shanghai. It is organised by the China Flower Association. Organised by the Intex Shanghai Co. Ltd and Great Wall International Exhibition Co. Ltd, it is the largest official trade show in Chinese Floriculture, Horticulture and Gardening industry.

Flora Fest
The year 2007 is visit Malaysia year and one of the festivities is the Flora Fest. The festival was held from 20th January to 4th April 2007 and there were various events arranged to make the festival an unforgettable experience for tourists and locals alike. The highlight of the festival is of course the floral parade, which was held in Putrajaya on the 27th January.

Dubbed the largest agriculture exhibition in Asia, the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek was held in Chiangmai from 1st November 2006 until 31st January 2007. The exhibition was held in conjunction with the celebrations of the King’s 60th year on the throne and his Royal Highness’s 80th birthday.
