Laman 2006: The Malaysia International Landscape & Garden Festival 2006
Laman 2006 was once again held at the sprawling 72-acre
Perdana Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur from 6th to 16th July. Organised
by the National Landscape Department, Ministry of Housing and Local
Government, Malaysia, the festival was proudly hosted by the City Hall
Kuala Lumpur. It showcased every aspect of the Malaysian and
international landscape and horticulture industry; from commercial
agricultural products to garden exhibitions and landscape products.
Themed “The Oasis of Beauty” the festival was divided into several
zones. There were World of Gardens, Malaysian Garden, LandTech Zone,
Garden Expo and The Play land. At the World of Gardens section,
festival participants displayed their creativity by putting together
gardens of their own designs. Visitors were able to learn more about
gardening and landscape technology at Landtech Zone. Biotech products
and services were also available for sale at this zone.
Then enter Garden Expo site where various garden plants, products and
accessories were available for sale.Our Garden Asia’s booth located at
the Festival Walk were well patronized by garden enthusiasts and
visitors alike interested in our magazines for sale and other garden
related products.
As a tribute to the late Datin Seri Endon Mahmood, a Datin Seri Endon
Garden was set up to showcase batik prints in various unique
presentations. Other highlights include the Hibiscus Garden and
Celebrities Garden.
